I am Alain Nicolas-David, Doctor of Chiropractic. My journey as a health care provider is special because I was an athlete, personal trainer, group fitness instructor, professional dancer for over 25 years before I became a chiropractor. My initial interest in the study of rehabilitation was to help myself with all the physical issues that I was born with and acquired inconsequence of my extremely active lifestyle. In addition, I wanted to help my clients and class participants who were suffering from various injuries. My experience as an athlete, personal and group fitness instructor has tremendously helped me with my diagnostic and therapeutic skills as a chiropractor. I have a unique style of rehabilitation in the way that I administer a full functional movement and health history evaluation for the purpose of determining the source of your issues. Those sources can include joint mobility imbalances, soft tissue restrictions, strength imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, or chronic and acute injuries. My goal is not only to treat you for the pain but to also address the sources of the pain. Therefore, unlike most chiropractors, my sessions include much more than just joint adjustments and basic modalities such as heat-ice or electrical stimulation. My therapy can include various manual soft tissue, tool assisted soft tissue, assisted flexibility techniques as well as state-of-the-art modalities and therapeutic instruments. Additionally, I teach you how to manage your own body and use self-care tools to maintain balance and reduce your changes of injury. I have over 30 years of experience in pilates based corrective exercises. I am very confident that I can make a significant improvement in your condition using my novel approach and techniques however the results are always based on how much you, as a client, participates in your own rehabilitation. My sessions usually take from 30 mins to 2 hours.
